He was getting ready to become a starting offensive lineman for the Indianapolis Colts after being chosen into the NFL just 11 days before. The man was 22 years old.
Marty says, “It was bad, bad, bad,” remembering how shocked and devastated he, his family, and other people were after the accident.
The Brandon Burlsworth Foundation, which was started by Marty and Vickie, will carry on Brandon’s work even after his death.
